"Wow, you're right Ranna, this place really is good."
"Decaf, Trea. Decaf. Make it your mantra."
"You should drink coffee more, Ranna. It makes you funny!"
Ranna rolled her eyes and went back to her book.
"Topher and Warren said they were going to meet us here. They're at the Paper Lantern right now. I was with them, but then I decided to come here ahead of them. They're waiting for Warren's shift to be over. Wait, why aren't you working today?"
"My day off."
"Oh. How nice. But what would really be nice is if you and Warren worked at the same time."
"I'm sure."
"Because then you two would be off at the same time, and then he could take you on a date--"
Ranna looked up from her book. "A what?"
"A date. You know, one of those things that two people who like each other go on?"
"Yeah, I know what a date is. But why would you think he and I would go on one?"
"Because he likes you. Du-uh. And you like him. I can tell."
"If you think so, Trea."

A Few Minutes Later
Kagami glanced at the strange group behind her. The orange haired girl was very loud.
"Yuuto..." she said in japanese, "What his this place?"
Yuuto smiled. "Just a coffee shop, Great place for private conversation." he told her as he picked up her hand.
Kagami blushed and smiled slyly at him.
"Master, I ask that we relocate, I cannot concentrate in this place." Obi wan held his head as he tried to block out the noise of chatter, rising high as each group struggled to hear each other.
"Tolerance is a gift, pad'wan" qui-Gon reminded him.

Early Saturday Morning
"I'm telling you, Maura," Zane said, pulling her into the coffee shop. "This is the best place on earth."
"Then why couldn't we have stayed on Olympus?" she grumbled. Lately, Zane had been able to pull more words out of her, and her constant reliance on nonverbal communication was waning.
"Because Olympus isn't earth. Coffee's too perfect up there. I can't take it anymore."
Zane slid into a booth, looking expectedly from Maura to the empty booth seat across from him. Maura sighed and sat down, looking around. There was a guy sipping a cup of coffee from a straw at a table, his fingers running over the keys of his laptop. A girl with long black hair streaked in front with red had her feet up on another chair, cupping the white mug in her hands, blowing on the steam. A book was propped against her knees. Two Japanese students were chatting in their native language in another booth.
"How did you find this place?" Maura asked.
"Um...I don't remember. Hades, I think. Hold on, I'll be right back."
He got up, walking over to the barista to order the coffee and some bagels.
A girl burst in, orange hair flying around her face from the wind outside. She pulled it back, sticking a patch of green hair behind her hair. She looked around, obviously searching for someone in particular.
"Ranna!"
Apparently she had found that someone. The girl with her feet propped up tensed, caught by surprise, then rolled her eyes. She went back to her book, ignoring the girl that was pulling a chair out at her table, making a terrible screeching noise against the stone floor. Carrot-top started chattering at high speeds to the girl named Ranna.
"Trea."
Chatter.
"Trea."
Chatter.
"Trea."
Chatter.
"Trea!"
The chatter stopped. "Yeah?"
"You didn't get decaf this morning, did you?"

Look what the Cat Drug In
Cyclops slumped down into a seat, followed closely by Jean. Iceman, Angel and Beast sat across from them.
"Man, What a bummer!" Iceman complained.
"I know, three weeks and no sightings of anything fun to do!"
Mean while, in the rest of the shop, these young x-men were getting strange stares.
"Who are those weird people dressed in costumes like that?" Obi-Wan leaned over to ask Qui-Gon
Qui-Gon shrugged.
"Who ever they are, they deserve your respect, my young pad'wan."
"Yes master." Obi-Wan said as he leaned moodily over his coffee.
